With only one more Friday left in January, 2019 is already flying by – as I expected – but payday couldn’t come sooner for me as there’s already quite a few new makeup products I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this year. I did do a New Years Goals post last week and one the goals that I didn’t mention (because I should be doing it anyway) is to try and save more money, so I’ll be mentioning high end brands but only buying/ reviewing the drugstore ones – everyone has to budget somehow! So, with all that in mind, lets get straight into the new makeup we’re expected to see in 2019!
Benefit – Roller Liner
Almost every Benefit launch is a good one, and as someone that loves a winged liner, I’m pretty excited for this one. Most well-known makeup brands have a felt tip liner available due to their growing popularity, so its about time Benefit had their own. Benefits new felt tip liner is inspired by their best selling mascara ‘Roller Lash’, and claims to be matte, long-lasting, and waterproof – Roll on more winged liner in 2019!
I Heart Revolution – Easter Eggs
Will I ever write a makeup post that doesn’t include Revolution? Probably not, they pretty much always have something to shout about, and this time it’s their seasonal eyeshadow/ highlighter eggs. They did these last year but in a different variation of colours, this year it looks like they’ve gone for a pastel theme – very on-trend. I love seasonal makeup products and these are super cute, I can’t wait to test them!
Revolution – Cut Crease Canvas
Revolution are constantly releasing new products and none have disappointed me yet. This one in particular I’m pretty excited about as I tend to practice my cut crease a lot, so it’s great that they’re releasing a product just for that. However, I am curious to see if its specially curated for cut creases or if its just another concealer.
Urban Decay – Brow Collection
Urban Decay are world renowned for having a damn good setting spray and some iconic eyeshadow palettes, so I think we all have some pretty high expectations for their new Brow Collection. The new product line includes:
Double Down Brow – £20
A natural dual-shade powder that comes in seven different shades
Brow Blade – £18
A two-sided waterproof brow pencil for filling in and defining.
Brow Endowed – £18
A two-sided brow cream and primer to boost volume, available in eight different shades.
Brow Finish – £17
A clear brow gel to lock your brows in place.
Urban Decay – Naked Reloaded Palette
On the topic of Urban Decay – It’s safe to say everyone was pretty disappointed when they announced that they’re discontinuing the original naked palette, a lot of people going to twitter to express their grief, but Urban Decay fought back by reminding their fans that their setting spray was still here to stay, strange marketing technique, but it seemed to work! Following this announcement, they’ve released images of their soon-to-be-released new eyeshadow palette and there are very mixed reactions. Some say they “need it” and others say they have many palettes like it and it just looks like a worse version of the Orignial Naked Palette. What do you think?
Fenty Beauty – Pro Filt’r Concealer
Fenty Beauty already revolutionised the makeup game by releasing their foundation in 40 different shades, and they’re carrying on with that trend by releasing their Pro Filt’r Concealer in 50 different shades, as well as adding another 10 shades to their Pro Filt’r Foundation range, pretty impressive, right?
Lush – Valentine’s Day Range
After my new-found love for everything Lush I’ve been stalking their instagram page constantly, and on there they announced their Valentine’s range, and it’s pretty cheeky. Their entire range includes 35 limited-edition products, some of which are quite suggestive, such as their two different “number six” bubble bars – I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking one may secretly be an upside down nine. The most Instagramable products in their Valentine’s range though are their peach and aubergine shaped bath bombs.
Too Faced – Tutti Frutti
Too Faced announced on their Instagram pages that they’d be adding more products to their already existing Tutti Frutti range. They haven’t revealed all the new products, this image it just a teaser, but it will be launched in 30th January.
Stila – Shade Mystere Liquid Eye Shadows
I have always wanted to try some of Stila’s liquid eyeshadows are they’re well known for having great pigmentation, but they don’t come without a price. This year Stila have revealed a few new additions to their popular liquid eyeshadow range with these very intriguing Shade Mystere Liquid Eyeshadows – I may have to cave and purchase at least one!
These new releases in the world of makeup have kicked off 2019 with a bang, I can’t wait to see what’s to come for the rest of the year. Some of these products are already available to buy and some of them are yet to be released, but it’s safe to say I’ll be sampling them all once I can get hold of them – especially the Revolution products of course! What new makeup are you most excited for in 2019?
