There’s been a lot of announcements for new releases in the beauty world this month and I can’t say that I’m not slightly overwhelmed. There’s been such a mixture of releases, from Revolution announcing their brand new skincare range, to Too Faced’s new Christmas 2018 palette being leaked, and with so many new products I can’t wait to try, I thought it would make for a great post on the blog! If you’ve visited my blog before then you probably could have guessed that Revolution is one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands, the quality of their products is amazing and all at such an affordable price! They’ve come out with some pretty exciting releases recently too, not only did they announce their new skincare range, but on Wednesday they released their much anticipated new Conceal and Define Foundation, so Revolution is going to play a big part in today’s post, which brings us to our first product in our list of exciting new releases!
Revolution – Conceal and Define Foundation
Only recently did I find out that Revolution were adding a new foundation to their world renowned Conceal and Define family. The concealer that started it all was released last year, and since then beauty gurus all across the U.K. and America have tested and loved it, typically comparing it to Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer which usually retails at £22, while Revolution’s dupe is only £4! If you haven’t yet tried it then I urge you to get down to your nearest Superdrug immediately. So, as you can imagine, expectations are high for the foundation, other content creators on Revolution’s PR list have already tested it prior to its release on Wednesday 5th September and they all seemed to be impressed with the coverage, and the fact that this £9 drugstore foundation has 24 different shades to offer. I picked mine up yesterday in shade 3, which I’m so hoping is going to be the right shade for me as I ordered it online!
Revolution – Skincare Range
I love skin care a lot, so skincare combined with one of my favourite makeup brands is definitely a win! I’ve already ordered a few bits which also arrived yesterday (after almost 2 weeks of waiting) and I can’t wait to work theses into my everyday skincare routine. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this new skincare range already, and I’m sure I’ll love it as much as I love the rest of Revolution’s products. Their skincare range includes 13 different products for all different skin types, and prices start at as little as £6. Everyone seems to be loving the Superfruit Extract Serum because of how hydrating it is, and it also doubles up as a primer!
Too Faced – Gingerbread Spice Palette
An image was recently released of a first look at Too Faced’s Christmas 2018 range. Despite the large price tag on Too Faced products, I’m ALWAYS looking forward to their limited edition Christmas palettes. It was actually the 2016 ‘Christmas in New York’ collection that got me so into eyeshadows, the packaging was everything, sadly I recently threw the box out while having a clear out, but I’ll never forget unwrapping that beauty on Christmas Day. After having a quick look on their website they’re already showing a few of their Christmas products, not including the Gingerbread Spice palette, or the Christmas Dreams vault I’ve seen hints of. I’ll definitely keep a look out for their other Christmas announcements that are bound to come over the next coming months.
Mac – Christmas 2018
I haven’t yet seen or heard anything about Mac’s 2018 Christmas collection, but I have high hopes after last years beautiful collection – the packaging was the main reason I shopped it! I think they’ll find it pretty difficult to top last years gorgeous frosty ice packaging. Whatever they come out with though, I’ll be here for it!
Urban Decay – Cherry
This palette was recently announced shortly after Urban Decay revealed that they’re discontinuing their original Naked palette, which a lot of people were so disappointed about. Admittedly, I never had the original Naked palette, when it was popular I was probably around 13 years old, so I wasn’t big into makeup at the time. Since I’ve taken an interest in makeup and have had enough money to spend on those kind of things, there was always something that looked more exciting, the colours in the Naked palette just never really excited me! My first ever Urban Decay Palette was the Naked Smokey, which I received from my Aunt for Christmas 2016 and I’ve loved ever since, it was my go-to palette for a long time! The deep pinky-purple shades in the new Cherry palette is what initially draws me to it, they’re shades that I don’t have a lot of but ones I know I’ll use, this palette might have to go on my Christmas list too!
If you haven’t already guessed I’m very excited for Christmas, I love everything about it, except for the money part of course. It can get pretty expensive, not only from buying other peoples gifts, but because I can’t seem to resist shopping all the Christmas makeup collections for myself! But the big day is still a little way off so I can put my money worries to the back of my mind for a little while! Christmas aside, I’m so glad Revolution are coming out with so many great new products, I can’t wait to test them and let you know what I think, if you don’t want to miss out then follow me on social media, linked below!
