I don’t know about you, but I love a good makeup haul, especially when it’s an affordable one! If you’ve visited my blog before then you’ll know I’m a big fan of SophDoesNails, I only discovered her a few months ago thanks to twitter, and I love everything about her YouTube channel already! If you haven’t seen her videos then you should totally check her out, it might help you better understand this haul too! – I’ll leave her link below. Since starting this blog I’ve fallen in love with Revolution palettes, the first one I tried was actually the original Soph x Revolution palette which I reviewed here. I couldn’t believe the quality and pigmentation of the eyeshadows for only £10!! Since then I’ve turned away from expensive high-end palettes like Too Faced and Urban Decay (even though I still use and love the palettes I already own) and have started reaching for Revolution and their sister brand I Heart Revolution, which are killing it in the makeup world right now! Their packaging is gorgeous, which seems to be heavily inspired by the Too Faced chocolate palettes, and they’ve just launched a brand new bathing range which I can’t wait to try out! After falling in love with SophDoesNails and Makeup Revolution I just had to complete my Soph x Revolution collection and purchase the products I don’t already own, including her sweet new body mist!
~ Soph x I Heart Revolution Body Mist ~
I Heart Revolution has just launched a brand new range of fairytale inspired body mists, the full range includes: Mermaid Splash, Unicorn Sparkle, Pink Dream, Angel Kiss, and of course, their collaborative one with Soph! I’m wearing her body mist as I’m typing this post and it smells so delicious it’s making me crave desserts. The scent is ‘Vanilla and Crème Brule’ and it smells incredibly sweet, just like crème brule surprisingly! This isn’t the kind of body mist I’d usually go for, I often prefer ones with more subtle, floral tones, but I’m actually really liking this one! It’s a fun, alternative to your favourite everyday perfume and it’s not too sickly or over powering, which I thought it would be because sweet fragrances usually are! I’m not sure why, but I think this scent will be great for autumn/ winter, it has warm, homely undertones that just make me think of my candle lit house during the winter and it’s getting me even more excited for autumn! Is anyone else already shopping for their winter wardrobe? Because I certainly am!
~ Soph x Revolution Lipstick Range ~
Okay, so I lied, I don’t have her COMPLETE range! She does have three lipsticks with Revolution, but I decided not to buy the third because I already knew it wouldn’t suit my skin tone, it’s a very dark brown nude and dark lipsticks don’t tend to look good on me, but who knows, I might try it in the future! All three of her lipsticks are named and inspired by desserts, just like her fragrance. These were released alongside her latest palette – Extra Spice, which I also reviewed here, it’s currently one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes! First of all, the packaging for the lipsticks are gorgeous, they come in a pale nude and rose gold colour which compliments both of her palettes perfectly. They have a nice creamy formula which isn’t at all drying, and they fade beautifully without leaving that awful ring around your lips!
I bought the shades Cake and Syrup which are both warm toned nudes. Syrup, the darker of the two is more of a very warm, browny nude which is also going to be great for autumn, and Cake which is my favourite, is more of a pinky shade which is perfect for adding some everyday colour to your lips. As you can see, they’re both very similar shades, but once on your lips they can both totally transform a look. It’s safe to say I’m going to get a lot of use out of these, and they’re a lot of fun to photograph too!
~ Soph x Revolution Highlighter Palette ~
This is one of the older Soph x Revolution products which was released with her first palette! I put off buying this because I don’t always wear highlighter and have never been a huge fan, but after trying the I Heart Revolution – Goddess of Love highlight I was more inclined to start trying others! This is the first highlighter palette I’ve ever bought, so it does include some shades I probably won’t get a lot of use out of, like the glittery purple or the brown, but there’s a great range of shades so there’s bound to be something for all skin tones which I think is a definite plus! My favourite shade in this palette is the second one on the top row which is a glowy, champagne colour, and let me tell you, this looks amazing on! And that’s coming from someone that doesn’t usually like highlight! It’s not glittery or patchy at all and it just gives my face that subtle, Summery glow, I’m in love!
~Revolution 1 Million Palette~
Superdrug have got a pretty good deal going at the moment where if you spend £20 on Revolution products you get the limited edition 1 Million Eyeshadow Palette for free, all I heard was “free eyeshadow palette”! Firstly, congrats to Revolution for reaching 1 million followers (on instagram I think) they’re already at 1.2M now so that’s some quick growth! As one of my favourite beauty brands, I’m very proud of them! Secondly, I’m stunned they’re giving this away for free, it’s of their usual top quality and it has some gorgeous shades in it which will be perfect for autumn! I’ve already been using it quite a lot for a quick everyday glam look. The shades aren’t named, but I’ve been using the three pinky purple shades through the crease, and then the nudey glitter shade on the lid, this makes for a lovely, glamorous everyday look!
This isn’t the most exciting freebie, but it was free so I’m not complaining! Another offer Superdrug had on at the time was that you’d get a free keyring with every purchase, in fact, they have loads of deals on which I’ve linked below along with all the products I’ve featured in today’s post!
I’ve loved doing this Soph x Revolution haul, all of her products were such fun to photograph and I’m such a fan of their collaborative pieces! I’m a big fan of Soph herself too! I’m not much of a “fangirl” and I don’t often watch a lot of girlie YouTubers, but I just love her original content, I’ll link her channel below too so you can check her out! I hope to see more collaborations with her and Revolution in the future, I’m praying for a Soph x Revolution Christmas collection! Who’s with me?
